1. Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
📍 Address: Panda Avenue, Chenghua District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province

🚗 Transportation: Take Chengdu Metro Line 3 to reach the Zoo Station: Exit from Exit D, walk 100 meters, and take bus 655 (heading towards Xindu Bus Station) at the "Zoo Station" for a total of 9 stops. Get off at the "Panda Base" bus station and walk for about 5 minutes to reach the south gate of Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
✅ Advantages: It is close to the city center and directly accessible to Chengdu Metro Lines. There are also direct buses on Chunxi Road to the panda base. The largest number of pandas can be seen, with pandas of different ages. There are also famous panda stars on the internet, including Hua Hua Panda.
❌ Disadvantages: There are a huge number of tourists, and watching pandas takes three minutes and requires queuing for three hours.
2. Dujiangyan China Giant Panda Garden
📍 Address: Shiqiao Community, Qingchengshan Town, Dujiangyan Irrigation Project, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province.

🚗 Transportation: take the intercity train to Dujiangyan Railway Station, walk to the bus station at the 2.5 ring intersection of Tianfu Avenue, take bus 102(to Jiezi Guzhen Station), and take 19 stops (about 40 minutes) to Panda Paradise Station.
✅ Advantages: If you have enough time, you can apply for volunteers here (appointment is required), cleaning the enclosure for giant pandas, tidying up feces, and making nest heads, providing a meaningful work experience.
❌ Disadvantages: If it's not for experiencing the work of volunteers, seeing pandas here is not the best option.
3. Panda Valley (Dujiangyan, Chengdu)
📍 Address: Huanshan Tourism Road, Yutang Town, Dujiangyan City, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province.

🚗 Transportation: Take the Chengdu Metro Line 2 to "Xipu Station" without leaving the station, and directly transfer to an intercity train from "Xipu Station" to "Lidui Park". After getting off, take a taxi to Panda Valley.
✅ Advantages: Relatively fewer tourists, beautiful environment, simple route, and a free range panda park. The environment of Dujiangyan Panda Valley is super beautiful. You can see both the scenery and pandas. If you're not only interested in watching Hua Hua panda, coming here is a good choice.
❌ Disadvantages: The number of pandas is not huge.
4. Wolong Chinese Giant Panda Shenshuping Base
📍 Address: Gengda Town, Wolong Nature Reserve, Wenchuan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan

🚗 Transportation: A direct bus from Chunxi Road in the center of Chengdu to Shenshuping Base, priced at 70 yuan per trip and 140 yuan per round trip, with a 3-hour drive.
✅ Advantages: It is a habitat for wild giant pandas in Sichuan. The whole base has a large area and a wide field of vision, with a large number of pandas, and each panda has a natural residence, so pandas are very lively. And the environment, including the air is good, so, it is very recommended. Attention: The best time to go to Wolong Panda Valley is in January. If it snows, you even have the oportunity to see cute pandas rolling in the snow.
❌ Disadvantages: It is 110 kilometers away from Chengdu and far from the Chengdu city.
5. Bifengxia Panda Base
📍 Address: Within Bifengxia Tourist Area, Bifeng Town, Xiali Township, Yucheng District, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province.

🚗 Transportation: Take a direct bus from Chengdu Xinnanmen Bus Station or Shiyang Bus Station to Ya'an Bifengxia Panda Base.
✅ Advantages: The forest coverage here is high, with small bridges, flowing water, and waterfalls. While watching pandas, you can also experience the natural scenery of Bifeng Gorge. On the other hand, there are wild animals feeding the zoo, and you can personally feed lions and tigers.
❌ Disadvantages: 155 kilometers away from Chengdu, much far from the city.
6. Mianyang Panda Base (Not yet in operation)
📍 Address: Guloushan Ecological Park, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province.

🚗 Transportation: Take the high-speed train from Chengdu to Mianyang Railway Station in Mianyang city. After exiting the station, walk to the bus stop of West Railway Station and take bus route 91 (towards Anzhou North Bus Station). After 22 stops, arrive at Jinjialin Zhaohu Station (金家林招呼站）and walk 1.3 kilometers to Mianyang Panda Base.
✅ Advantages: Newly built base with beautiful environment. The base undertakes core functions such as scientific research breeding, wilderness training, and ecological education, allowing the public to see more pandas that rely on technology for better growth.
❌ Disadvantages: A small number of pandas.
