The panda is one of the most precious animals in the world and is currently listed as a Chinese national first-class protected animal. Its ecological environment has also received much attention. Pandas occupy an important ecological position and live Sichuan province, in the unique forests of China, as well as in the Qinling Mountains, Daba Mountains, and other mountainous areas along the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia border. Below, we will introduce the habitat, and main distribution areas of pandas.
1、 The habitat of pandas
Pandas live in high-altitude, rainy forest areas. Usually inhabiting mountain forests or bamboo forests ranging from 1500 to 3500 meters, different habitats of pandas are concentrated in the natural reserves of Minshan and Daba Mountains. Due to the relatively dense habitat, which is suitable for the survival, reproduction, and foraging of pandas, scientists have found that the habitat of pandas is getting smaller and smaller. If measures are not taken in a timely manner, they may be on the brink of extinction due to the loss of sufficient habitat.
2、 The main distribution areas of pandas
China is the birthplace and one of the main distribution areas of pandas. At present, there are only about 1800 pandas worldwide, of which about 80% are distributed in China, mainly within only about 2% of China's national territory. Due to environmental pollution, illegal poaching, deforestation, natural disasters, and human activities, the global population of pandas has always been at a relatively low level. The Chinese government has gradually restored the living environment of pandas by vigorously protecting the natural environment and strengthening measures to protect them.
