China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center updated on Thursday that the giant panda Fu Bao at the Shenshuping Base of the Wolong Giant Panda Reserve, whose healthy condition is currently under normal indicators after a comprehensive examination for abnormal behavior was observed on Tuesday morning.
The spirit, appetite, activity behavior, and excretion of giant panda 'Fubao' are normal. On December 5th, "Fubao" not only ate bitter bamboo poles and leaves, but also ate the nest heads, carrots, and other food fed by the keepers cleanly. She has been detected normal temperature, breathing, and heart rate. Veterinarians will continue to monitor her condition indoors. The experts of Panda Reserve Base are gradually investigating the shaking reason that occurred in 'Fubao' to ensure maximum safety.
Recently, Fu Bao, the female panda who became very popular worldwide, was observed trembling while eating bamboo shoots, attracting attention from netizens and calls for a comprehensive physical examination. The hashtag "Fu Bao Trembling" quickly became one of the top trending topics on Chinese social media platform Sina Weibo on December 3rd.
Panda Fu Bao was born on July 20, 2020 in South Korea and returned to China in April 2024. As the first panda born in South Korea, Fubao received special attention from China and South Korea.
