The neighbors of pandas mainly include golden monkeys, antelopes, red pandas, and hairy crowned deer. These precious animals basically live in the same environment as pandas. From the perspective of natural historical origins, they are all ancient animals from one million to several million years ago. They have a common bitter experience, having been attacked by glaciers and subjected to severe tests, but they have effectively survived by leveraging the favorable terrain of the high mountains and deep valleys in southwestern China to this day. They live together in the same area through long-term coexistence and coordination, but each occupies their own space, has a division of nutrition, and their day and night activities and seasons are also unevenly coordinated. They form a relatively stable animal group through food as a link.
Red Panda
Red pandas are close companions of pandas. Although they all make a living from bamboo, they have a tacit understanding of sharing with giant pandas. Giant pandas love to eat bamboo leaves in autumn, while red pandas mainly eat various wild fruits such as wild cherries and cherry blossoms; Giant pandas love to eat larger bamboo shoots in spring and summer, while red pandas mainly eat smaller bamboo shoots that giant pandas do not eat; Giant pandas feed more on the upper branches and leaves of bamboo, while little pandas feed on the lower parts of bamboo leaves; Giant pandas often feed on gentle shady slopes, while little pandas feed on steep sunny slopes.
Golden Monkey
The golden monkey is a blonde girl who lives on trees. French priest David not only discovered the giant panda in 1869, but also in 1870. Its scientific name was assigned by the director of the Natural History Museum in Paris, France, based on a famous Russian beauty. The only flaw of this beautiful blonde is that her nostrils are slightly upward. This type of monkey is widely recognized as the most beautiful monkey in the world. It has a blue face and long tail, and is covered in golden long hair on its back. It has been regarded as a treasure in all dynasties of China, and only high-ranking officials are allowed to enjoy this light fur. This type of monkey, like pandas, is also a specialty of our country. The space they occupy in the panda home mainly feeds on the lush canopy and young leaves of the trees, as well as the attached filamentous lichen of pineapples and the block like lichen on the bark. Their vision is very sensitive. In a group of monkeys, there are often several male watchdogs. If any abnormal situation is found, they will sound an alarm, and the monkey group will immediately be silent upon hearing it. At the same time, it also provides warning information for visually impaired pandas.
Antelope
Also known as antelopes or antelopes, they are nomads between forests, shrubs, and meadows. In western Sichuan, it is generally called a bison. The famous American zoologist Charles referred to it as the "Six Not Elephants". It is only found in the Himalayas to the Hengduan Mountains around the world, mainly in the southwest of China, and is also a world treasure. They can form hundreds of large groups in winter and enjoy eating the buds, leaves, bark, and various grasses of many shrubs. In winter, they also eat pandas instead of withered bamboo leaves.
Hairy crowned deer
The hairy crowned deer is a gentleman who feeds on grass in dense forests and bamboo groves. Local villagers call it the green deer, which is a rare and unique animal in China.
