The Chongqing Zoo has been around for 70 years. With the largest number of pandas in China and even globally, Chongqing Zoo has 23 pandas currently, and marketed toward "people of all ages," the Zoo is experiencing an unexpected surge in popularity among panda lovers and animal lovers worldwide.
From naughty and cute Panda Mang Cancan to fuzzy, gentle and clingy Yu Ke, and lively and active Yu Ai, you must have heard of one of the 23 pandas in Chongqing Zoo.
The pandas are composed of two large families, namely Panda Liang Liang, Panda Lan Xiang, Panda Yu Bao, Panda Yu Bei, Panda Shuang Shuang, Panda Chong Chong, Panda You You, Panda Er Shun, Panda Jia Yueyue, Panda Jia Panpan, Panda Yu Ke, Panda Yu Ai, Panda Mang Zai, Panda Xi Xi, Panda Qing Qing, Panda Xing Xing, Panda Chen Chen, Panda Mang Cancan, Panda Hao Qi, Panda Qi Zhen, Panda Qi Bao, Panda Ding Ding, and Panda Liang Yue.

Among 23 pandas, Panda Mang Cancan is one of the most popular pandas in the Chongqing Zoo, who has promoted panda fever and commercial cooperation. Mang Cancan is channeling panda economy by collaborating with renowned Chinese automotive company with that she is officially on board with the other pandas in Chongqing Zoo booming in the social media.
Mang Cancan, whose name was collected from the internet, and together with his brother "Xing Xing " and "Chen Chen", it represents the meaning of "brilliant stars".
Mang Cancan has attracted much attention for his cute appearance and innocent personality. It was once so angry and sad that it stood up and demanded its beloved airplane toy because it was taken away, and It also climbed up the tree and spent the whole night "thinking about life" and enjoy the scenery. Besides, due to strong curiosity and active personality, it is often taught by its mother, Mang Zai, which is very funny and adorable.
On May 1st, 2024, famous car enterprise Changan adopted the Mang Cancan Panda and collaborated with Chongqing Zoo to launch a public welfare campaign and brand marketing commercial activity.
On July 6, 2024, Changan Automobile prepared inflatable giant panda and bamboo cake for Mang Cancan, and decorated the track of Chongqing Line 2 in the image of Mang Cancan, named the "Mang Xiaowu Special Subway", which greatly met the check-in needs of panda fans and sparked a new wave of social media about Mang Cancan and other pandas in Chongqing Zoo.
