In the bamboo forest, there is a little panda named Sihai. Sihai is a unique little panda because it likes to climb high, using branches as a bed and the blue sky as a blanket. Sitting on high branches, it overlooks the distant scenery. This small figure seems to blend in with nature, and the name of this little panda comes from it.
However, fate has arranged an extraordinary journey for the Sihai, a journey that makes people feel heartbroken. Sihai was sent to distant Qatar. Qatar, located in a desert region, is shrouded in high temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius throughout the year. The climate conditions here are completely different from the living environment of Sihai, and pandas are inherently cold and hot loving animals, and their adaptability is very limited. However, Sihai was forced to live in this unsuitable place for pandas to grow for up to 15 years. This means that it needs to stay in the air-conditioned room all the time, unable to climb up the tree tops it likes, unable to feel the breeze, sunlight, and the rustling of leaves. For Sihai, who loves freedom and nature, this is undoubtedly a cruel fate. Although it is said that Qatar has specially built a luxurious panda pavilion to welcome the world, with complete facilities, including a spacious venue, constant temperature air conditioning, bedroom, playground, medical room, and nursery. Fresh bamboo needs to be transported by air from Sichuan every day to meet the dietary needs of Sihai. Although these facilities may seem luxurious, for the Sihai, they cannot make up for the free sky they have lost. For 15 years, for a little panda, it means it can no longer freely climb to the treetops and feel the beauty of nature as it pleases.
However, fortunately, I heard that Sihai is doing well in Qatar, with a pair of caring parents taking care of it, especially its white fur, which looks even brighter. Although living in a foreign land, Sihai can still feel the love and care of humanity. Perhaps, in an unexpected moment, Sihai will miss the blue sky and white clouds of their hometown, the smoky mountains and forests, and the peaceful mornings and afternoons. We hope that the Sihai can lead a happy and healthy life, waiting for it to return to its familiar mountains and forests one day in the future, and continue to appreciate the beautiful rivers and mountains, just like a teenager. Sihai, may you always be young and free.
