Another April Fool’s Day is just around the corner. Every year at this time, people play pranks to relax and enjoy fun interactions with friends. However, on April Fool’s Day in 2003, Leslie Cheung, a renowned actor and singer from Hong Kong, tragically took his own life by jumping from a hotel due to depression, leaving behind a profound sense of regret. Since then, his fans from all over the world have voluntarily gathered every year to honor his memory with flowers. In recent years, depression-related physical and mental illnesses have become increasingly common worldwide, highlighting the critical importance of paying attention to the mental health of those suffering from depression.

Among those struggling with depression, some often feel that life holds no joy and cannot find a reason to live; others feel trapped at the lowest point of their lives or seek escape from the gap between reality and their ideals; some even experience somatic symptoms, and in severe cases, may contemplate ending their lives.
There are many ways to cope with depression, such as exercise, reading, and consulting professional psychologists. Today, Chuan-X Panda would like to explore two approaches in the hope of offering some help in alleviating depression. This is also the mission we were founded on: To warm you, love you, and heal you with our pandas.
We seek healing both from within and from without—inner love and outer hope.
1. Within: Love, the Remedy for Depression
People often say that love can overcome all hardships. Yes, when someone is emotionally down, what matters most is not the advice of others but listening, understanding, and companionship. The inability to find interest or motivation in anything is not due to laziness but to a lack of drive. At such times, the steadfast love of others flows like a warm current, warming the heart and nourishing the parched soul, allowing it to regain strength. Even at the lowest points in life, with the support and companionship of friends and family, one can gather the strength to regroup and move forward.
Therefore, we hope that when you feel overwhelmed by emotions, squeezing our fluffy panda toy tightly in your hand can help ease your feelings. When you are striving to help yourself and embarking on an adventure in the world alone, our adorable panda bag can accompany you through it all. When you are facing hardship, lying awake at night with anxiety, holding our giant panda plush tightly can provide comfort, allowing you to voice your thoughts and draw strength from it.
2. Without: Hope, Believing That Good Things Are Yet to Come
With a heart full of love, even as we carry our fractured souls within, we choose to set out once again toward the mountains in our hearts, piecing ourselves back together. This time, we trust in our own strength, in relentless effort, and in the belief that beauty will ultimately arrive. As in the film The Shawshank Redemption, "Hope is a dangerous thing, but it can make a prisoner forget they are still in chains." If love is the key that starts the journey of self-redemption, then hope is the unending engine that gives people the strength to persevere.

Thus, we believe in hope, we believe in dreams, and we wish for everyone struggling with depression or going through a low point in life to overcome their challenges and become the ideal version of themselves. "Some birds are not meant to be caged; their feathers are too bright." Our Chinese Zodiac plush toys, originating from the East and carrying the profound cultural heritage and folk wisdom of 5,000 years of Chinese civilization, are here to bring you blessings and good fortune.
Things always develop in a spiral upward and a wave-like advance. Human nature, with all its complexity, encompasses both darkness and beauty. May we all grow strong wings over the course of our long lives, grow into towering trees, scatter into the starry sea, and truly fall in love with this world.
