This National Day, come to Chengdu and check in at the "2025 Chengdu International Digital Culture and Creativity Season" with the beloved panda Hua Hua!
On the evening of September 28, 2025, the 2025 Chengdu International Digital Culture and Creativity Season kicked off at Chengdu’s Jiaozi Music Square. As China’s first-ever "Digital Culture and Creativity Golden Week," it offers a perfect opportunity to experience the youthful energy of this ancient cultural city with a history spanning three millennia.

From September 28 to October 26, Chengdu will bring together 28 popular local digital IPs, including the esports phenomenon Honor of Kings, the blockbuster film Nezha(哪吒), the internet-famous panda Hua Hua, as well as titles like Wuhua Mixin (《物华弥新》) and Zhetian(《遮天》). Spanning sectors such as gaming, animation, cultural heritage, and creative industries, the event opens with a stunning light show at the Twin Towers, inspired by the ancient Shu legend of the "Golden Crow Carrying the Sun." Attendees can enjoy a variety of innovative experiences, including digital art exhibitions, virtual character parades, esports industry summits, and trendy markets—all offering immersive and diverse cultural activities for residents and visitors.
The exhibition stretches along the southern section of Jiaozi Avenue in Chengdu’s High-Tech Zone, covering a one-kilometer area with approximately 10,000 square meters of display space. It is divided into three main zones: the Future Tech · Trend Playground, the Chengdu Digital Realm · IP Carnival, and the Honor of Kings · 10th Anniversary Theme Party Plaza. Hua Hua panda will make special appearances alongside other well-known IP characters.
As one of China’s "Most Beloved Cities Among Youth" and frequently ranked among the "Happiest Cities," Chengdu has become a breeding ground for top-tier digital IPs. Take Hua Hua, for example—this famous panda star draws huge crowds to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding every day, with many visitors traveling from afar just to catch a glimpse of her. Then there’s Ne Zha II, the animated blockbuster produced in Chengdu, which soared to become China’s highest-grossing film of all time with a box office revenue of 15.9 billion RMB, also securing a record-breaking fifth place in global box office history. The film once again wowed the world in early 2025, showcasing Eastern aesthetics and Chengdu’s creative prowess on the global stage.

With its diverse and inclusive creative environment, Chengdu continues to attract tourists and creators from across China and around the world. As an American sci-fi animation director once remarked in an interview: "Chengdu, it reminds me of Hollywood in America and Silicon Valley, so that area us very similar to what's happeing here."
On October 23, 2025, Chengdu will host an Ecological Partners Conference to establish the International Digital Culture and Creativity Industry Alliance and release a list of global collaboration opportunities. Let’s join hands in this millennia-old city, brimming with creativity and imagination, to explore digital culture and creativity with distinctive Chengdu flair and we, Chuan-X Panda will continues to create more panda-themed stuffs.
