Welcome! New Giant Pandas to Hong Kong

According to the cooperation agreement on giant panda conservation and research signed between the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center and the Hong Kong Ocean Park, a pair of giant pandas named "Anan" and "Keke" from the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center will depart for Hong Kong on September 26th to settle in the Ocean Park, becoming the third pair of giant pandas welcomed by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Giant panda 'Anan', male, born in June 2019, has a round head, long body, agile movements, is intelligent and active, and has an outgoing and lively personality. The giant panda "Keke", originally named "Tianke", is a female born in June 2019. She is gentle, lively, and active, and is good at climbing. She is a typical "tomboy" in the giant panda world. At present, the two giant pandas are in good health and under quarantine in Dujiangyan Irrigation Project Base of the Panda Center.

Panda Anan

To ensure the smooth arrival and adaptation of the giant pandas "Anan" and "Keke" to Hong Kong, the Panda Center conducted a comprehensive health assessment and arranged for experts and caretakers to have in-depth exchanges with four caretakers who came to Hong Kong Ocean Park to learn and participate in the breeding of a pair of giant pandas, so that they could familiarize themselves with and master the temperament and living habits of the two pandas, and establish trust with them. When the giant pandas "Anan" and "Keke" set off for Hong Kong, the Panda Center will also send one keeper and one veterinarian to accompany them and stay for a period of time, helping the two giant pandas to familiarize themselves with and adapt to their new home as soon as possible.

Panda Keke

At present, pandas are tentatively named "Anan" and "Keke". Hong Kong will hold a city wide naming competition. Do you have any ideas? Please write your answer in the comment section.
